@thetravelingtrader, yes the earnings have been insanely high, but, I believe we are having record earnings because there is also a record number of dollar bills floating around. That could change in the next few quarters, wouldn't shock me to see a slowdown until Q3-4.

Just people trying to tank the markets so they can buy back in and ride it up it’s always the same bs. We already knew all this would happen minus maybe the Ukraine issue but let’s be honest we knew Russia would as it was dangerously close to the Ukrainian border. Now everyone’s crying bloody murder as if they’re surprised. Imo everything was already priced in when we hit the lows January had a little rally and now they’re looking to do the same thing all over again. Buy the dips!
This is not news. Of course we are headed for a recession. The market peaked and we are correcting. Oil price spikes always indicate the beginning of recessions.
Earnings may be high but as the cost of living becomes increasingly large, people will shrink their expenses. I earn a fairly high wage but after buying a way to expensive house, I'm saving every dime. Friends feel the same way. I would expect earnings to shrink heavily into this year.
